* Job Description:

** Seeking a reliable Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our outstanding fleet maintenance team. This position is primarily focused on the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of UPS package delivery vehicles and other light- to medium-duty fleet vehicles powered by gasoline and diesel engines. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience performing automotive repairs on passenger vehicles, delivery vans, and medium-duty trucks, with strong diagnostic capabilities in gasoline-powered drive trains, electrical systems, brakes, steering, suspension, and engine controls.

* Responsibilities and Duties:

*** Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment
* Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout duration of workday
* Sits infrequently, as required, throughout duration of workday
* Exercises simple hand grasping, power hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reaching from foot level to above shoulder level as necessary to complete assigned tasks
* Operates standard and manual transmission
* Operates power and pneumatic tools
** Requirements
* ** Must be 21 years or older
* Must have an active driver’s license issued by the state
* Must be willing to work night shift (5:00 p.m.

- 1:30 a.m.), Monday through Friday.
* Must possess the required hand tools required to perform the applicable job assignment.
* Minimum 3 years of recent experience diagnosing and repairing light- to medium-duty automotive vehicles in a dealership, fleet, municipal, or independent repair environment.
** Knowledge and Skills
*** Demonstrated extensive hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing light- to medium-duty automotive vehicles, including gasoline-powered delivery vehicles.
* Strong experience with gasoline engine diagnostics, emissions systems, drivability concerns, electrical troubleshooting, steering and suspension systems.
* Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
* Class A/B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

* ** Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete scheduled workday on a consistent basis
* Available to work varying shifts, additional hours and/or overtime depending on service needs.
* Wears personal protective equipment as required
* Works in an environment with variable temperatures and humidity (climatic conditions), exposure to cleaning materials, petroleum products, dust, dirt, and noise, outside inclement weather, etc.
* Works cooperatively in a diverse work environment
* Communicates effectively through sight, hearing, and/or otherwise, to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions
* Advanced electrical diagnostic capabilities with strong working knowledge of gasoline-powered engine management systems, brake systems, steering/suspension systems, drivability diagnostics, and computerized vehicle controls. ASE certifications are highly desired.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The starting pay for this position is **$39,10
** with a one- year progression to TOP PAY **$46,25
** per hour. For union-represented postings, wage rates and ranges and benefit offerings are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreement provisions.
