Senior Accountant

LHH is partnering with a client in the Columbus area to identify a Senior Accountant for a contract opportunity. This position will provide coverage for a medical leave and is expected to last 4-5 months, with potential for extension. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and can quickly step in to support ongoing operations.

Responsibilities:

* Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting

* Analyze financial data and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and compliance

* Maintain general ledger integrity and support day-to-day accounting operations

* Assist with preparation of internal and external financial reports

* Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies

* Support audit requests and ensure proper documentation of processes and controls

* Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementation

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

* At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting

* Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting processes

* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)

* Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

* Experience with ERP systems (Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) preferred

Pay Details: $36.00 to $42.00 per hour
