Accounting Services Specialist - Columbus, OH

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for an Accounting Services Specialist for our Columbus, Ohio location.

• Assist with daily administrative tasks associated with new account creation and maintenance, sales tax, accounts payable, and address validations.
• Provide exceptional service to customers, sales representatives, and internal staff.
• Contact sales representatives to obtain missing new account details to ensure accurate customer account records.
• Efficiently set up new accounts.
• Professionally handle calls and voicemail.
• Assist with tax certificate requests and preparation of sales tax audit requests as needed.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth processes.
• Interact with customers, sales reps, and internal associates to resolve discrepancies, answer inquiries, and maintain positive relationships.

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; some college is preferred.
• General business experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of bookkeeping principles preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, supervisors, and managers; in written and verbal form.
• Ability to handle confidential information and use discretion while performing job tasks.
• Computer literacy – specifically Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Ability to read and write small letters and numbers, make arithmetic calculations, and understand written and oral instructions.
• Dependable (reports to work daily barring unforeseen circumstances).
• Successful completion of a ninety (90) day orientation period.
