Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support day-to-day payables operations for a growing team. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, accurate with financial data, and confident managing invoice activity in a fast-paced environment. You will play an important role in keeping vendor payments on track, maintaining clean records, and contributing to a smooth month-end close process.

Responsibilities:

- Review and enter vendor invoices accurately, ensuring charges are assigned to the correct accounts and departments.

- Respond to supplier inquiries regarding payment status, documentation, and account details in a timely and thorough manner.

- Reconcile accounts payable records to identify discrepancies and resolve outstanding items before closing periods.

- Maintain current and organized payables files so financial information remains complete, accurate, and easy to audit.

- Process drop shipment billing transactions and verify supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.

- Assist with month-end close activities by preparing payables-related support and ensuring open items are properly addressed.

- Execute check run activities and help confirm payments are issued according to approved schedules.

- Use Net Suite to manage invoice workflows, payment records, and vendor account information. Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support role.

- Hands-on experience processing invoices with strong attention to coding accuracy and supporting documentation.

- Working knowledge of check runs, vendor payment procedures, and accounts payable record maintenance.

- Ability to reconcile payables activity and investigate discrepancies with a high level of accuracy.

- Experience using Net Suite or a comparable accounting system to manage AP transactions.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills for working effectively with vendors and internal teams.
