Our client, located on the north side of Columbus, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support a variety of accounting and administrative functions. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering long-term potential for the right candidate.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple areas of accounting, has strong Excel skills, and is comfortable in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

* Compile and maintain weekly production reports for multiple divisions

* Perform monthly bank reconciliations

* Prepare and process weekly bank deposits

* Assist with annual budget preparation alongside the Controller

* Enter and maintain payroll data in spreadsheets and within bookkeeping software

* Support accounting operations using Quick Books

* Provide administrative support, including answering phones, taking messages, and directing calls

* Assist with high call volume, particularly between 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications:

* At least 1 years of accounting experience

* Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables

* Experience with Quick Books or similar accounting software preferred

* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

* Ability to multitask and support both accounting and administrative functions

* Professional communication skills and customer-focused mindset

Schedule:

* Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (onsite)

Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
