ACCOUNTS PAYABLE / ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST
We are seeking an accounts payable and accounts receivable specialist to support the accounting team with transactional accounting tasks. The role is primarily responsible for all phases of accounts payable processing: vendor file maintenance, invoice and payment processing, along with receivable duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Account reconciliations
- Code items such as invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests, etc., with correct accounts to ensure proper entry into the financial system.
- Handle vendor correspondence via phone or email.
- Investigate and resolve issues associated with the processing of invoices.
- Prepare batch check runs and wire transfers.
- Assist with monthly status reports and monthly closings.
- Generate recurring, monthly invoices for customers.
- Receive, research, and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.
- File, maintain, and distribute accounting documents, records, and reports.
- Perform other duties as required to support Accounting Department.
- Minimum of 2-3 years accounts payable, receivable, or general accounting experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Strong organizational skills; must be detail oriented.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Strong team player.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Open to change and willing to learn new skills.
- Ability to follow up on pending issues.
