External Reporting Manager

A growing and highly respected organization is seeking an External Reporting Manager to join its finance leadership team. This position offers the opportunity to play a critical role in financial reporting, technical accounting, and regulatory compliance while partnering with executive leadership and key business stakeholders.

• Lead the preparation and review of external financial reporting packages and disclosures.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable reporting requirements.
• Research and document technical accounting matters and accounting policy positions.
• Coordinate reporting schedules and deliverables across finance and business teams.
• Assist with quarterly and annual reporting processes.
• Support external audit activities and collaborate with independent auditors.
• Evaluate and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
• Partner with leadership on emerging accounting standards and reporting requirements.
• Prepare management reporting and analyses supporting key business decisions.
• Maintain strong internal controls related to financial reporting.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Active CPA certification required.
• Progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, or technical accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.

• SEC reporting experience is a plus.
• Big 4 or public accounting experience highly valued.
• Experience supporting publicly traded or complex reporting environments.
• Knowledge of technical accounting research and documentation.
