Senior Tax Accountant

Job Overview

Sr Tax Accountant at a well‑known CPA firm. Salary: $90,000 – $125,000 per year. Hybrid remote.

• Preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
• Conducting research on complex tax issues and providing guidance to clients.
• Managing and coordinating tax audits and inquiries by various taxation authorities.
• Assisting with tax planning and consulting engagements.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current tax practices and changes in tax law.
• Developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities.
• Training and mentoring junior staff members.
• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification or Master’s degree in Taxation is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
• Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations.
• Experience with S corporation, income tax, audit, and tax.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex tax issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
