We're seeking an Assistant Controller to join a high-growth, private equity-backed organization. - Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across multiple entities.
- Manage and develop a team of five accounting professionals.
- Partner with senior finance leadership on accounting strategy, process improvements, and operational initiatives.
- Ensure financial statements are accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable accounting standards.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Develop and enhance accounting policies, controls, and procedures.
- Drive automation and efficiency initiatives across accounting operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to support business growth and financial performance.
- Assist with acquisition integration activities and evolving accounting requirements within a PE-backed environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA required.
- Public Accounting experience required.
- Progressive accounting leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience managing accounting teams and developing talent.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience utilizing AI tools, including Claude, to enhance productivity, reporting, or finance operations is a plus.
