Description

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join a team in Columbus, Ohio in a contract to permanent position. This opportunity is well suited for someone beginning their accounting career who can support daily financial tasks while also assisting with general office needs. The role offers a mix of accounting, data entry, and operational coordination, making it ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and enjoys variety in their work.

Responsibilities:

- Process invoices accurately and enter financial information into company records in a timely manner.

- Support accounts receivable activities by tracking payments, updating account details, and helping resolve routine discrepancies.

- Perform high-volume data entry with close attention to accuracy and completeness.

- Provide administrative assistance as needed, including handling general clerical tasks that support the broader team.

- Help monitor inventory records and assist with maintaining organized, up-to-date stock information.

- Use Microsoft Excel to manage spreadsheets, organize data, and complete basic reporting tasks.

- Contribute to day-to-day accounting operations by assisting with recordkeeping and other assigned support duties.

Requirements - Prior experience or training in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related administrative support role.

- Working knowledge of accounts receivable processes and invoice handling.

- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Beginner-level Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work with basic formulas and spreadsheets.

- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing daily priorities.

- Strong organizational skills and a dependable, team-oriented work style.
