JUNIOR CASHIER (OPEN) CS
Salary: $17.06 - $22.95 per hour
Responsibilities- Under supervision, receives funds in payment of bills due and issues receipts for same.
- Disburses funds upon proper authorization.
- Keeps a record of all money collected and disbursed.
- Balances accounts.
- Receives payments and deposits from consumers.
- Receives payments from bill collectors.
- Receives job deposits.
- Makes settlements of monies received.
- Prepares daily and periodic reports related to handling of monies.
- Collects receipts.
- Makes refunds when properly authorized.
- Pays out petty cash.
- Deposits warrants for money received with the City Treasurer.
- Prepares lists of refunds and deposits.
- Prepares warrants.
- Balances daily cash.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- One year of full‑time paid cashier experience required.
- Proficient in the use of a computer as well as a 10‑key adding machine and/or calculator and possesses strong math skills.
