This is an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Cost Accountant who enjoys partnering with operations, improving processes, and driving financial insights in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll work closely with plant and corporate leadership while gaining exposure to international operations and future career growth.
This position also has a path to manager within 12 months.
- Lead standard costing activities, including cost rollups, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
- Analyze manufacturing performance, material, labor, and overhead variances, providing actionable recommendations to operations leadership.
- Partner with plant managers and cross-functional teams to improve inventory controls, costing accuracy, and operational efficiencies.
- Support month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, inventory reserves, and financial reporting.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis related to manufacturing operations.
- Review and maintain standard costs, bills of material, and inventory transactions.
- Participate in physical inventories and cycle count programs while ensuring accurate inventory reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and streamline accounting processes.
- Support ERP enhancements, system implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives as the company continues to expand globally.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing cost analysis.
- Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP system experience required.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and business partnering skills.
- CPA or CMA is a plus but not required.
