Lead Accountant

We are partnering with a growing, mission‑driven nonprofit organization in the Columbus area that is seeking a Lead Accountant. This is a newly created role with significant visibility and impact. The Lead Accountant will oversee month‑end close, financial reporting, grants and donor accounting, audit support, cash management, internal controls, and budgeting support while helping build processes and infrastructure to support continued organizational growth.

• Month‑end close and year‑end financial reporting.
• Grants and donor accounting, including restricted funds.
• Audit support and compliance reporting.
• Cash management and internal controls.
• Budgeting support and financial planning.
• Build processes and infrastructure for organizational growth.

• Strong general ledger accounting and month‑end/year‑end close experience.
• Hands‑on, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves mentality.
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
• Nonprofit accounting experience preferred, especially with grants, restricted funds, and compliance reporting.
