A growing Columbus-area organization is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a contract opportunity. This position will play a key role in supporting month-end close activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented accounting professional who can quickly integrate into a team environment and contribute immediately.

Responsibilities

* Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

* Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

* Analyze financial statements and investigate variances.

* Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

* Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.

* Partner with internal departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve processes.

* Assist with internal and external audit requests.

* Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

* At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including senior-level accounting responsibilities.

* Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis functions.

* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Pay Details: $32.00 to $40.00 per hour
