Payroll Specialist
- Hybrid Schedule
Salary: $75,000–$85,000
Location: Columbus, OH - Hybrid 3 days/week in office
Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Payroll Specialist to join their payroll team and manage bi‑weekly payroll processing. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to deepen their payroll expertise—particularly with UKG and multistate payroll
.
- Process bi‑weekly payroll for 250+ employees
, managing multiple payroll batches - Prepare payroll‑related transactions, including reimbursements, PTO payouts, garnishments, and deductions
- Review and verify the accuracy of timecards, PTO, and all garnishment/deduction setups
- Secure Treasury approval and ensure accurate payroll funding
- Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and management, generate required reports, and maintain HRIS data integrity
- Hands‑on experience processing payroll using UKG
- Multistate payroll processing experience
- Experience with union payroll, certified payroll, or additional payroll complexities is a plus
