Assistant Controller

We re seeking an Assistant Controller to join a high-growth, private equity-backed organization. • Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across multiple entities.
• Manage and develop a team of five accounting professionals.
• Partner with senior finance leadership on accounting strategy, process improvements, and operational initiatives.
• Ensure financial statements are accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable accounting standards.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Develop and enhance accounting policies, controls, and procedures.
• Drive automation and efficiency initiatives across accounting operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to support business growth and financial performance.
• Assist with acquisition integration activities and evolving accounting requirements within a PE-backed environment.

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA required.
• Public Accounting experience required.
• Progressive accounting leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience managing accounting teams and developing talent.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience utilizing AI tools, including Claude, to enhance productivity, reporting, or finance operations is a plus.
