Responsibilities- Lead all accounting and financial operations for the firm, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable standards
- Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, trust accounting, and month-end close processes
- Partner with firm leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses that support strategic decision-making
- Supervise payroll operations and ensure compliance with payroll-related accounting standards and employment regulations
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and streamline financial workflows
- Collaborate with attorneys and firm leadership to provide meaningful financial reporting and support long-term business objectives
- Contribute to a collaborative leadership team where your expertise influences the firm’s continued success
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience, preferably within a law firm or other professional services environment
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, general ledger management, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Experience overseeing month-end and year-end close processes
- Knowledge of law firm accounting, including trust accounting and partner compensation, is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes, implement efficiencies, and strengthen internal controls
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to firm leadership
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential financial information
- Collaborative leadership style with experience managing and developing accounting staff
