Payroll Specialist Corporate

Home Buys is a growing retail discount outlet chain, presently 16 stores in Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky. There are plans to open three more in FY2026. We are looking for a skilled payroll specialist with knowledge in all facets of the end-to-end payroll process. To assist on the entering new employees into Paychex to payroll journal entry.

• Management the weekly payroll cycle.
• Process new employees
• Process termination paperwork
• Workers Comp
• Garnishments process
• All elements pf payroll
• Assist in reconciliation

• 1-5 years' experience in payroll
• Net Suite or other ERP system experience preferred
• Experience in retail a plus
• Experience and knowledge of payroll package e.g., Paychex
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices
• Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting data and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills; the ability to communicate issues to buyers and vendors is a necessity
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• BS degree in Accounting/Business preferred, but experience in lieu of degree considered
