We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Finance Associate to oversee daily accounting operations and support the month-end process from our Columbus warehouse.
You’ll work closely with our Finance Director based in Buffalo, NY — managing day-to-day accounting activities with a high level of autonomy and accuracy.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, being the local go-to for all finance matters, and ensuring things run smoothly without constant supervision.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for end-to-end accounting activities for the Columbus site, from transactional processing to financial reporting.
You’ll also collaborate remotely with the Buffalo finance team on projects, audits, and process improvements designed to strengthen efficiency and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities Month-End Close & Reporting- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end reports.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and schedules for review by the Finance Director.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control requirements.
- Process vendor invoices and customer payments accurately and on time.
- Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and maintain data integrity.
- Manage vendor and customer master data in the ERP system.
- Provide simple variance analysis and financial insights to support local decision-making.
- Collaborate with operations and sales to ensure financial accuracy across activities.
- Contribute to process improvement and cost‑efficiency initiatives.
- Support special projects for the U.S. finance team (Buffalo & Columbus).
- Assist in audits, system enhancements, and ad hoc financial tasks.
- College diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, including month-end close and reconciliations.
- Solid understanding of AP/AR, general ledger, and internal control principles.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Macola).
- Excellent organization, independence, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across remote teams.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- On-site position only (Columbus, OH). No remote or hybrid option.
