A VACO client is seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant to join their
Accounting & Finance team. This role will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of fixed assets, ensuring accurate accounting, compliance with company policies, and adherence to GAAP standards. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a solid accounting foundation, and experience working with fixed asset systems in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger.
- Record asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and retirements.
- Calculate and post monthly depreciation and amortization entries.
- Perform fixed asset reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Assist with capital expenditure tracking and reporting.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and Procurement teams to ensure proper asset classification and capitalization.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
- Analyze capital projects and provide financial reporting on fixed asset activity.
