INDUSTRY LEADER SEEKS A SENIOR ACCOUNTANT TO JOIN OUR TEAM-COLUMBUS, OH
FCX Performance is an Applied Industrial Technologies Company and a leading process flow control company. The role of our Senior Accountant has an immediate impact on our customers, on our company performance, and on personal earnings. This is a full-time (hybrid) permanent position at our Corporate headquarters Columbus, OH.
Responsibilities:- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Help in preparing accurate financial statements, analyzing financial data, and providing assistance in the budgeting process.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile accounts, perform month-end and year-end close activities, and ensure proper revenue and expense recognition.
- Audit and Compliance: Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation for auditors and ensuring compliance with GAAP, federal, and state regulations.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior accountants and other financial staff, delegate tasks, and provide guidance on accounting procedures.
- Cross-Department
Collaboration:
Work with other departments to ensure financial processes align with business objectives and support operational efficiency. - Sales and Use Tax: Review and assist with returns and audits. Complete required analysis.
- Ad Hoc Projects: To be capable and prepared to take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Proven accounting experience
- Analytical/problem solving, communication, leadership, attention to detail, ethics
- Strong understanding of SOX compliance a plus
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Highly proficient with Microsoft software applications, especially with MS Excel
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
- Desire / ability to learn new processes and systems
