Assignment will likely be extended up to 18 months.

Work Arrangement
Remote/Hybrid:

• Open to fully remote candidates.
• Candidate must be willing to work a minimum of 3 days per week.
• Flexible schedule within the standard 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST workday

Equipment Provided:

• Company computer will be provided.

Hours

• Average: 12 hours per week
• Schedule may flex up or down based on business needs.
• Maximum anticipated hours: 15 hours per week

Job Summary
Individual contributor responsible for moderately complex accounting activities related to maintaining a complete and accurate general ledger and supporting managerial reports and financial statements.
The role is responsible for all aspects of accounting within an assigned area, including monthly journal entries and financial reporting. This position typically reports to a Manager and does not have direct reports.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience) and have 2-3 years of accounting experience. Experience may include Payroll, Financial Reporting, General Ledger, Sales Audit, Credit, Cash Management, Import, Real Estate, or Inventory Control functions.
Strong communication skills and the ability to gather information from cross-functional partners are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain purchase orders in Ariba based on contract information and recurring invoices.
• Monitor purchase order approval status.
• Partner with the Invoicing team to implement a new purchase order methodology.
• Initiate new vendor creation in Apex based on business partner input.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and financial reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and maintain accurate financial information.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience with financial reporting and accounting processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ariba (highly preferred and considered a strong differentiator).
