Accountant

LHH is assisting a well-established organization in the Columbus, OH area is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join its growing team. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to a collaborative accounting department while expanding your skills in both accounting and payroll experience.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial records
• Assist with payroll processing, payroll audits, and payroll-related reporting
• Reconcile payroll data to accounting records and investigate discrepancies
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting initiatives
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting and payroll-related issues

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• At least 2 years of accounting experience
• Previous payroll processing or payroll support experience required
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups
• Experience working within an ERP or accounting software system
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Pay Details: $28.00 to $33.00 per hour
