Tax Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of sales and use tax compliance, including filings, reporting, and documentation for construction-related projects.
• Interpret and apply tax regulations involving real property, tangible personal property, business fixtures, taxable services, and contractor-use materials.
• Conduct tax research and analysis to support project planning, procurement decisions, and operational activities.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, project management, and executive leadership to ensure consistent and accurate tax treatment across all projects.
• Prepare and maintain supporting schedules, work papers, and documentation to strengthen internal controls and support audit requirements.
• Stay current on evolving federal, state, and local tax laws that may affect the organization's tax strategy and compliance obligations.
• Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the scalability of compliance and reporting procedures.
• Assist with audit responses and provide supporting documentation when necessary.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Master's degree in Taxation
• Minimum of five years of experience in sales and use tax, state and local tax (SALT)
• Familiarity with tax accruals, tax payments, and general ledger accounting.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, EA, CMI, or other relevant tax credentials.
• Experience working within a SOX-compliant environment.
