Senior Property Accountant
Columbus, OH

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Property Accountant:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements for assigned communities.
  • Perform reconciliations, variance analysis, journal entry review, and financial reporting corrections.
  • Partner with lenders, investors, syndicators, regulators, and internal stakeholders on reporting and inquiries.
  • Review audits and tax returns for assigned properties.
  • Assist with annual budgeting and financial planning activities.
  • Support internal control initiatives and process improvement projects.
Qualifications for the Senior Property Accountant:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant real estate accounting experience.
  • Experience preparing journal entries and reviewing financial statements.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of HUD, tax credit, public housing, affordable housing, or real estate accounting preferred.
