About the Opportunity
Our client, a respected player in the commercial real estate industry, is seeking a Lease Accountant and Administrator to support their growing portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-driven environment and enjoys working across accounting, operations, and tenant relations.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be responsible for managing the financial and administrative aspects of commercial leases. This includes:
- Abstracting and interpreting lease agreements
- Setting up tenant accounts and managing rent invoicing
- Performing CAM reconciliations and reviewing general ledger activity
- Coordinating collections, billbacks, and security deposit transactions
- Handling tenant communications, insurance tracking, and lease compliance
- Supporting utility transfers, maintenance requests, and lease milestones
- Collaborating closely with accounting and property management teams
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business (or Associate’s with additional experience)
- 2+ years of experience in commercial real estate lease accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including strong skills with Excel
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to multitask
