Full-time Corporate Accountant
Atrium Centers, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated full-time corporate accountant to join our team on-site in Columbus, Ohio. About the RoleAs our new full-time corporate accountant, you will be responsible for providing technical accounting expertise and support to our financial teams. Your duties will include:
- Prepare monthly financial statements for Atrium Centers and related entities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company time frames.
- Reconcile accounts and maintain supporting documentation to ensure financial statement integrity.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, with particular focus on cash and accounts receivable.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries for the general ledger.
- Maintain company fixed asset records, including depreciation and amortization schedules.
- Complete periodic HUD Replacement Reserve requests and maintain all required supporting records.
- Assist with annual CPA, Medicare, Medicaid, and HUD audits and reviews as needed.
- Support yearly budget preparation and periodic budget revisions.
- Assist with preparation of annual Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; preferred. CPA or CPA candidate a plus.
- A minimum of three years of overall accounting experience with an emphasis on financial statement preparation experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and an ability to apply those principles
- Experience leading or significantly contributing to projects a plus.
- Experience managing deadlines and being able to take complete ownership of assigned tasks.
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Sage Intacct a plus.
