Sr. Tax Accountant – Public Accounting

• Work directly with small business executives and their organizations on tax matters
• Consult on tax strategies tailored to client needs
• Oversee preparation and accuracy of tax returns
• Ensure tax payments are made accurately and on time
• Partner with the Managing Partner to lead and mentor junior and mid-level staff in preparing and managing returns
• Help clients run their organizations smoothly with minimal hassle around tax reporting and compliance
• Maintain significant client-facing interaction to build and manage relationships
• Dig into financial records to identify solutions that benefit clients

• A degree in Accounting
• Deep experience in Tax Accounting
• Experience with tax returns for individuals, small businesses, family businesses, S‑Corps, and partnerships
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Ability to analyze records and develop client solutions
• Proficiency with Ultra Tax, Quickbooks, and Excel

• Active CPA preferred; candidates working towards a CPA or with equivalent experience will be considered

• Overtime compensation: time worked beyond standard hours (37.5) can be paid as straight time or banked as PTO
