Tax Preparer --- Ownership & Expansion Overview

Tax Genyus is looking for a skilled, growth-minded Tax Preparer who understands that tax preparation is more than entering numbers into software.

We are building Tax Bosses.

This opportunity is for a tax professional who can confidently prepare accurate returns, educate clients, identify opportunities, and provide an elevated client experience while developing the skills needed to grow beyond traditional tax preparation.

You'll work in an environment centered around tax literacy, ownership, professionalism, client impact, and expansion.

• Prepare accurate individual and business tax returns
• Review client documents and financial information for accuracy and completeness
• Apply current tax laws, deductions, credits, and compliance requirements
• Educate clients so they better understand their tax position
• Conduct professional client consultations and identify individual financial needs
• Help clients understand opportunities for improved tax planning and financial organization
• Maintain accurate client records and protect confidential information
• Use professional tax and financial software efficiently
• Provide excellent customer service before, during, and after the filing process
• Build and maintain strong client relationships that encourage retention and referrals
• Participate in continued tax education, training, and professional development
• Represent the Tax Genyus standard of excellence, integrity, ownership, and authority

• Previous tax preparation experience preferred
• Active PTIN or ability to obtain one before preparing federal tax returns for compensation
• Strong understanding of individual tax preparation
• Business tax knowledge is a plus
• Comfortable learning and navigating professional tax software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and client-service skills
• Ability to explain tax concepts in language clients can understand
• Professional, dependable, organized, and solution-focused
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow beyond simply preparing returns
• Willingness to continue developing tax knowledge and professional expertise
