Responsibilities are basic and routine in nature. This may include performing administrative duties in an office, assisting in a research laboratory, aiding faculty/staff in supporting academic programs or patient care. Duties will be clear and direct. The Student Assistant will require excellent customer service and strong organizational skills and will represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.
AdditionalInformation
Functions as a Student Laboratory Assistant providing basic and general laboratory operational and clerical support to the Auditory Electrophysiology Laboratory within the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. The Assistant will help with patient recruitment, scheduling and testing, patients’ travel arrangements, subject reimbursement filling and tracking, data collection and analysis, and assist with miscellaneous administrative duties as needed.
Minimum Education and Skills/Experience Required/DesiredHigh School Graduate or equivalency required; must be enrolled in a degree-granting program at OSU; familiarity with basic office practices and skills desired; experience operating personal computer and other office equipment required; a valid Ohio Driver s license desired. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
Preferred QualificationsMajor in Speech and Hearing, Biomedical engineering or Computer Engineering.
A GPA (high school or college) greater than 3.5
