The Collections Enforcement section is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual with a passion for public service to fill a Clerk 2 position. This position will report to the Columbus, Ohio office at 30 East Broad Street daily.
Responsibilities- Answers telephone, takes messages and/or refers calls
- Greets and assists visitors with general information
- Picks up, opens, date stamps, sorts, distributes and/or sends out mail and other correspondence; date stamps and records all incoming checks
- Types various materials
- Completes routine forms
- Operates video display terminal to enter and retrieve data; operates word processing equipment and/or personal computer
- Makes copies
- Counts, alphabetizes, separates, collates, codes, sorts and distributes materials
- Processes financial and/or budgetary statements, purchase orders and/or billings
- Uses computer to maintain files by creating, consolidating, or purging files
- Researches computer files for data or information requested; makes corrections to filed data; logs and codes data
- Performs other related duties as assigned
High School Diploma; 4 months training or 4 months experience in office practices and procedures; 3 months training or 3 months experience in use of personal computer; 3 months training or 3 months experience in customer service.
- Or 4 months experience as a Clerk 1, 12111AG.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
