The Retail Sales Support Specialist will provide support for the entire Retail Sales team by clearing deductions, entering check requests as needed, processing orders, approving deals in TELUS (Trade Planning Management software) and managing trade show supplies. Reporting support is a key function of the role, including the daily entry of check requests for all deal-related events in TELUS. The incumbent will run and distribute reports such as Circana, Trade Spend, Daily Sales, Weekly Competition (All Retailers), and Base Price Margin reports.

This role will provide customer service and administrative support including communicating with customers, processing expense reports, booking or modifying travel arrangements, and handling general office tasks.

What we are looking for
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent;
  • A minimum of one year in a sales environment support role preferred;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, as well as good judgment and solid people skills providing timely and consistent feedback to the Sales team and customers;
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments;
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced work environment.
What you will do
  • Provide administrative assistance to the VP of Sales, including expense report processing, planning retreats and meetings (including rate negotiations), handling customer complaint letters, managing incoming mail, coordinating product samples, and other support tasks;
  • Support Sales and Marketing teams with TELUS-related responsibilities, such as entering Slotting deals, validating contracts to ensure alignment with system data (approving or revising as necessary), and performing daily deduction clearing and check request entry for all TELUS customer events, and request repays on invalid deal related deductions;
  • Generate and manage sales reporting, including daily order summaries, weekly tracking for top accounts, and Circana reporting (competitive trade spend and base price margin analysis);
  • Manage SYNDIGO updates to ensure data accuracy and consistency;
  • Provide product-related information on a scheduled basis, including Monthly Period Core Card, Quarterly Bad Pallets and Damages reporting, and Destini campaign tracking for the Marketing team;
  • Oversee all customer order processes, including EDI checks, tracking and annotating received orders, releasing 40

    Target pickup orders, and monitoring open order dates;
  • Manage all purchase order (PO) processing, including validation and entry, sending confirmations, and attaching all relevant communications into the ERP system;
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers regarding holiday pool schedules, delivery date changes, projected shipment cuts, and actual cuts;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $29.37 - $32.63 per hour
