Job DescriptionGuided by the Agency’s mission “To reduce recidivism among those we touch,” this position provides administrative support in the Operation Support Center/Quality Assurance Division, Franklin County.
Job Duties- Operate computer equipment and web-based programs/software to compile and merge reports involving complex legal, statistical and confidential material.
- Proofread, copy, and make corrections.
- Assist in training and/or train other employees on proper operation of equipment and programs; troubleshoot systems.
- Create, enter, and retrieve data/reports in the computer system.
- File and maintain distribution of correspondence and reports.
- Search files and retrieve material.
- Create new files (hard copy, server folders) and process closed files.
- Initiate and track offender placement process in the computer system.
- Maintain inventory and order office supplies.
- Schedule maintenance on office equipment and state vehicles.
- Operate LEADS, NCIC, OCN, OHLEG, BCI & I terminals to locate and identify parole, probation, and furlough violators.
- Retrieve criminal histories, NCIC, BCI & I, and parole/furlough violator forms.
- Enter confidential criminal offense data into LEADS and NCIC.
- Forward jail slate information to appropriate supervision unit.
- Receive visitors, answer routine requests, and handle telephone calls.
- Schedule training sessions, meetings, hearings, and maintain conference room scheduling.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Receive and log material and office supplies.
- Type routine correspondence and attend training sessions.
- Participate on committees and perform other related duties as requested.
1 year of training or 1 year of experience in secretarial science or business office applications; for positions requiring technical terminology, minimum 6 months of training or experience in relevant technical terminology.
Equivalent to Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment.
