Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio (LASCO)’s mission is to provide civil legal aid and advocacy to overcome unfairness and injustice, reduce poverty, and increase opportunity. LASCO has a long-standing history of being committed to searching out the patterns, causes of, and solutions to the repetitive and fundamental legal problems facing low-income Ohioans and pursuing the legal recourse needed to address those problems.

Since 1966, our organizations have helped thousands of Ohio’s poor obtain and keep housing, secure public benefits, worked with families to gain and maintain economic stability, and helped domestic violence survivors to live free of fear and abuse and to obtain the resources needed to sustain themselves and their children.

The Operations & Facilities Coordinator will be primarily responsible for providing administrative and technical assistance to the Chief Operations Officer, supporting the needs of the organization. This role also provides administrative support to the Executive Director and the Human Resources team and must exercise independent judgment, communicate clearly and thoughtfully, and support progress toward organizational goals.

Requirements You Will:
  • Monitor inventory of Columbus office supplies, placing orders, and organizing supply rooms.
  • Coordinate staff business card and name plate orders.
  • Serve as the point person for the Columbus Office maintenance and building contacts including communications regarding issues and needed repairs.
  • Maintain subscriptions for electronic and hard copy legal resource materials including Westlaw enrollment for staff.
  • Support the Operations Department with the logistics in the office building.
  • Provide administrative support for the Executive Director including maintaining and updating LASCO Board member contact information, preparing and mailing materials for Board meetings, ordering food for in‑person meetings, and maintaining records in accordance with agency guidelines.
  • Assist in setting up conference rooms for meetings, including arranging tables and chairs and performing post‑meeting room reset and organization.
  • Routinely handle sensitive information including legal documents, privileged client information, personnel records, financial and organization documents.
  • Assist with reviewing closed client files for compliance and maintaining closed case files in both onsite and offsite storage.
  • Serve as backup support for staff responsible for receipt and processing of client trust funds and documents.
  • Assist in sending fundraising letters as necessary.
