Cenovus Energy is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant located at our Dublin, OH office to support our U.S. Legal Department. This role will be responsible for drafting correspondence, scanning documents, printing documents and spreadsheets, photocopying, filing, processing invoices, maintaining filing and file lists, preparing and updating binders, booking travel, preparing expense reports, organizing attendance at seminars and conferences, setting up meetings and booking meeting rooms, editing documents, reviewing files to be closed, making reservations, scanning/fax, and creating and maintaining spreadsheets and Word documents.
Whatyou’ll do
- Assist the entire U.S. Legal Department, including 6–7 attorneys, 2 paralegals, and a government relations leader.
- Handle mail distribution for the legal department and other miscellaneous office mail.
- Receive, process, and record incoming accounts payable invoices, communicating with external entities, the internal accounts payable department, and government relations employees or lawyers.
- Prepare correspondence.
- Process association membership renewals and registrations for the legal department.
- Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, and own meeting room preparation.
- Book travel for attorneys and process expense reports.
- Assist with editing (redlining) and finalizing documents, and maintain document filings and record keeping (electronic and physical).
- Backfill for legal and other office support as needed.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Preferably 10+ years of experience with specialized knowledge of industry‑specific practices.
- Proficiency in word processing and Excel required.
