Ohio Department of Public Safety - Director's Office/Facility Management (Distribution & Inventory Services)

What you'll do as an Inventory Control Specialist 1
  • Under the direction of the supervisor/lead worker receives, processes, tracks, transports, & ships/distributes assets, items, & records.
  • Perform property & accountability functions for existing & newly acquired ODPS property, (e.g., identify assets, generate & affix DPS barcode labels on assets, perform inventory verification of assets, enter inventory information into the inventory tracking system).
  • Verify processes & assist with transport of items to DAS State Surplus for salvage of assets deemed not damaged, obsolete, or unserviceable by ODPS.
  • Create & maintain existing ODPS Asset Management files & records.
