Job Description The Job Opportunity and Duties- Works under general supervision and requires considerable knowledge of agency policies and procedures regarding program activities of Education in order to relieves supervisors of routine administrative duties
- Makes recommendations regarding education policies and procedures
- Researches and analyzes information and provides technical advice and information concerning DOTS and On Base
- Reviews policies and standards to assist with audit and accreditation required documents for Ohio Central School System (OCSS) and field administration
- Provides guidance and or train others on DOTS, OnBase, and/or Special education software
- Communicates decisions and directives, including education terminology, policies and/or Law requirements
- Responds to requests, scans and emails documents to institutions
- Prepares documents for purging and scanning into electronic storage
- Manages educations business functions for Education
- Purchases supplies and equipment for office staff and field staff and provides support with preparing purchasing requisitions and gets quotes
- Acts as liaison between Operation Support Center (OSC) and BOSC staff concerning complete reports and issues
- Answers inquiries about inmate school records
- Communicates with parents and other agency partners as needed
- Gathers data and/or statistics required for monthly reports for the school district including special education and career tech reporting
- Maintains various student apprenticeship records, adult diplomas, and certificates of completion
- Travels to other institutions and agencies for projects and or meetings
- Attends meetings, trainings and conferences
- May give presentations and conduct training
- Work on special projects and/or committees as assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Completion of associate core coursework in secretarial science or business office applications from accredited career school or community college.
- 18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in secretarial/administrative professional field.
- 6 mos. exp. as Administrative Professional 1, 16871.
- equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
