Westerwood is a premier senior living community seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Lead Receptionist to join our incredible team. This position is full-time and is scheduled 8:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday.
As the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff, the Lead Receptionist plays a vital role in creating a welcoming environment while ensuring smooth and efficient front desk operations. This position oversees receptionist scheduling and front office functions, provides exceptional customer service, and serves as a key communication hub within our senior living community.
Essential ResponsibilitiesManage receptionist schedules, including coverage, timekeeping, and paid time-off requests.
Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls in a timely and professional manner.
Welcome residents, visitors, vendors, and guests with courtesy and professionalism.
Ensure visitor sign-in procedures are followed and maintain front desk security protocols.
Monitor fire alarm panels and communicate emergencies or maintenance concerns to the appropriate departments.
Contact emergency services (fire, police, ambulance) as needed according to established policies and procedures.
Assist with administrative and clerical tasks to support daily community operations.
Maintain a positive, professional, and customer-focused front desk environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional office or administrative training preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of receptionist, customer service, or general office experience preferred.
Proficiency with office equipment and basic computer systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to remain calm and respond effectively during emergencies or high-pressure situations.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Must successfully meet all background check requirements applicable to employees working with older adults.
