Candidates must hold Ford Master Technician certification or be actively pursuing it. The following Ford Service Technician Specialty Training (STST) certifications are required for Master Technician status:
Senior Master Technician designation (all three Master categories completed, 5+ years at a Ford/Lincoln dealership) is a strong differentiator and is strongly preferred for this Lead role.
What You'll Do- Execute repair orders with precision, efficiency, and adherence to dealership and Ford quality standards
- Diagnose and repair all vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and climate control using Ford IDS/FDRS and other diagnostic equipment
- Lead by example — mentor junior technicians and contribute to a high-performing shop culture
- Communicate proactively with Service Advisors to ensure customers are informed of additional repair needs and receive accurate time estimates
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and ensure all customer vehicles are returned in pristine condition
- Stay current with Ford technical service bulletins, new model training, and evolving EV/hybrid technology
- Operate all tools, lifts, and diagnostic equipment in a safe and professional manner

RequirementsWhat We're Looking For
- Ford Master Technician certification (or actively in progress) — required
- Minimum 5 years of automotive technician experience, with Ford dealership experience strongly preferred
- Proven proficiency with Ford IDS/FDRS, oscilloscopes, and manufacturer-level diagnostic tools
- Deep working knowledge of gasoline and diesel engine systems, transmissions, chassis, brakes, HVAC, and electrical networks
- Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and the ability to clearly document repair findings
- Ability to quickly and accurately identify root causes and develop effective repair strategies
- Adaptable and eager to learn new vehicle technologies, platforms, and service procedures
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must successfully complete pre-employment background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle report
