We are seeking an experienced A Level or B Level Automotive Technician for a high-volume independent repair shop in Columbus, OH and Westerville, OH. This position offers $28-$55 per flagged hour based on the technician level, with a Monday-Friday schedule and no weekends. The shop services a balanced mix of domestic, Asian, and European vehicles and offers a team-oriented environment focused on quality repairs, training, and continued technician development.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, service, and repair a variety of domestic, Asian, and European vehicles
- Perform general automotive repairs, including brakes, steering and suspension, engine repairs, HVAC, and maintenance
- Perform automotive diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting based on demonstrated skill level
- Complete mechanical remove-and-replace repairs efficiently and accurately
- Use Bosch, Autel, Snap-on, and other diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle concerns
- Complete digital vehicle inspections and document repair findings using Tekmetric
- Work efficiently toward an expected production level of 40+ billed hours
- Collaborate with technicians and Service Advisors to support an efficient shop workflow
- 3+ years of professional automotive repair experience for B-Level candidates
- 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience for A-Level candidates
- Strong mechanical repair skills and experience performing general automotive repairs
- A-Level candidates should have strong automotive diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting capabilities
- B-Level candidates should have developing diagnostic abilities and a willingness to learn electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Independent repair shop experience preferred; dealership technicians will also be considered
- Automotive certifications preferred
- B Level Technician: $28-$40 per flagged hour (depending on experience)
- A Level Technician: $40-$55 per flagged hour(depending on experience)
- Flat-rate compensation structure
- Semi-monthly pay on the 7th and 21st
