The Wasserstrom Company is the leading Food Service Distributor in the nation. Established in 1902, we are a family owned company headquartered in Columbus, OH. We are currently hiring a Supply Chain Coordinator on our Darling Food service Team.
Responsibilities- Coordinate Darling Food service's supply chain operations, managing the entire purchase order process, vendor coordination, and invoice processing.
- Act as the team’s point of contact for distribution centers, handling day‑to‑day issues and escalating complex problems to a Supervisor or Category Manager.
- Manage the entire P.O. process: evaluate, plan, and release purchase orders; monitor delivery, confirm pricing and quantities; provide timely information and follow‑up.
- Vendor and item management: set up new items and vendors, price products, and acquire invoices to ensure customer payment.
- Freight process communication: manage inbound/outbound freight, ensure timely shipment delivery and pickup schedules, and convey accurate delivery, pricing and availability information.
- Invoice processing: receive invoices, reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Assist with coordination of online and print catalogs, cut sheets, website marketing and social media.
- Participate in new projects, data administration and reporting, and additional duties as assigned.
- 2‑Year Associate Degree.
- 1‑3 years of related experience or training.
- Preferred experience in SAP and OnBase.
- Proficient computer skills; ability to use MS Office Suite, including Outlook.
- Technical ability to learn and use software programs such as SAP and OnBase.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; offers and seeks help when needed.
- Professional interpersonal skills; resolves questions in a confidential manner.
- Detail oriented; meets quality standards and demonstrates accuracy.
- Organized; completes work timely; prioritizes and meets deadlines.
- Problem‑solver; gathers and analyzes information to generate suggestions for improvement.
- Works independently and as a member of a team; promotes positive team spirit.
