The Inside Sales Specialist plays a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience while supporting the Barrier Sales Manager and Regional Sales Managers. This role is responsible for handling customer inquiries, managing order and rental workflows, coordinating project details, and ensuring timely, accurate communication with internal and external partners.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing outstanding customer service. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving problems, and are eager to grow within a dynamic sales and customer support team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities Customer Service & Communication
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, product questions, order status updates, and general support needs.
  • Provide timely, professional, and solutions-focused communication to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Proactively reach out to customers for project updates, service feedback, and post-delivery follow-up.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and Regional Sales Managers to ensure accuracy and alignment across all customer touchpoints.
Order, Rental & Project Coordination
  • Maintain accurate records for inventory, sales activity, rental agreements, and project schedules.
  • Manage the full rental lifecycle in Rentopian, including order entry, scheduling, deployment information, and return coordination.
  • Collect key project details needed for scheduling or deployment of Zoneguard barriers and attenuator equipment.
  • Ensure proper documentation and follow-up on returns to support billing accuracy and operational efficiency.
Bid & Opportunity Support
  • Identify Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). in approved states for Barrier Systems and Attenuators.
  • Send pre-bid communications, log opportunities, and support the team in preparing quotations.
Systems & Data Management
  • Update and maintain spreadsheets for inventory, sales, lettings, and rental activity.
  • Enter and track all quotes, opportunities, and customer interactions in Hub Spot CRM.
  • Support ongoing process improvements to strengthen customer service and internal communication.
  • Assist the sales team with customer documentation, quoting needs, and follow-up communication.
  • Provide administrative support as needed to help the team operate efficiently and deliver best-in-class service.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Strong customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines with accuracy
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and in a team environment
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to collaborate across departments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with CRM systems (Hub Spot preferred)
  • Familiarity with rental operations or rental software (Rentopian) is a plus
