Overview
The Purchasing Buyer is responsible for inventory management within their respective categories of responsibility. This position requires strong analytical skills, problem solving and resourcefulness. Will be responsible for day to day procurement activities and work closely within their sub-team to ensure a seamless collaboration between sourcing and procurement within their categories of responsibility. Duties will include purchasing and managing orders for products within established policies and procedures.
The Purchasing Buyer will work collaboratively with other category teams and with various departments.
- Primary responsibility is to efficiently drive all purchasing functions to include forecasting and planning, place and expedite orders in ERP system; perform purchase order entry; resolve purchase order problems and conduct follow-up activities as necessary to finalize purchase order transactions.
- Works with suppliers to expeditiously avoid or resolve disruptions to product supply or services.
- Monitor shipments to ensure goods arrive on time, in accordance with specifications.
- Manages and approves IRF (Inventory Request Forms) as needed.
- Coordinates inter-company transfers and works with warehouses to expedite if necessary.
- Develop partnerships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and improved results.
- Collaborate closely with various departments to ensure seamless coordination.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year related experience; or an Associate's degree (A.
A.) with two-three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
