At Abercrombie & Fitch Co., we believe in empowering our team members to lead with purpose and impact. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative, high‑energy supply chain team driving value across our global operations. We offer a growth‑oriented environment where curiosity and proactive problem‑solving are celebrated.
As a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist, you will lead strategic sourcing initiatives and manage supplier relationships across transportation, logistics, and indirect spend categories. This role offers an opportunity to make a tangible impact on the business by delivering cost savings, improving processes, and ensuring our supply chain remains resilient and efficient. You’ll work across departments, influence decisions, and build the capabilities needed for future leadership.
Whatwill you be doing?
- Lead strategic sourcing projects (transportation, logistics, indirect services) to strengthen supply chain operations and optimize costs and service levels.
- Own supplier negotiations end‑to‑end – from analyzing initial proposals through final contract terms – to secure best‑value agreements aligned with business goals.
- Manage RFI/RFP/RFQ processes (Requests for Information, Proposals, Quotes): evaluate supplier responses and provide data‑driven recommendations for selection.
- Analyze spend and performance data to uncover cost‑saving or service‑improvement opportunities, and develop actionable sourcing strategies.
- Draft and manage supplier contracts and agreements, ensuring all terms meet internal policy and legal standards while achieving strategic sourcing objectives.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally (with Logistics, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain teams) to align procurement plans with overall business objectives, ensuring stakeholder buy‑in and smooth execution.
- Leverage procurement technology (e.g., Ivalua e‑sourcing platform) to streamline workflows, increase transparency, and support A&F’s digital transformation in procurement.
- Support supplier onboarding and relationship management, including ongoing risk evaluation and performance tracking to maintain a reliable, high‑quality supplier base.
- Identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities – proactively seek out ways to reduce costs, improve processes, and increase value, even in areas without predefined playbooks, by combining data analysis with stakeholder insights.
- Stay curious and adaptive: embrace emerging tools and technologies (e.g., advanced analytics, AI‑driven insights) to innovate in procurement approaches and drive smarter decision‑making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations, with a proven track record of taking initiative and delivering results (we value impact and skills over length of tenure).
- Proven negotiation skills – able to confidently negotiate contracts and supplier terms with strategic insight to achieve win‑win outcomes.
- Strong analytical abilities – comfortable working with complex data sets to derive insights, with attention to detail in analysis and execution.
- Technical proficiency – advanced Excel skills for analysis; familiarity with Power BI (or similar data visualization tools) and exposure to e‑sourcing/procurement platforms (e.g., Ivalua) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills – capable of translating analysis into clear recommendations and influencing cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Proactive, learning‑oriented mindset – demonstrated eagerness to ask questions, learn new concepts, and continuously improve processes.
- Experience with freight, logistics, or indirect procurement categories (such as services, software, or equipment).
- Familiarity with Third‑Party Risk Management (TPRM) practices or frameworks.
- Exposure to global sourcing strategies or working with international suppliers.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPIM, CSCP) or progress toward certification.
- Incentive bonus program
- 401(K) savings plan with company match
- Annual company wide review…
