Procurement Consultant
Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Procurement Consultant to support the Columbus, OH area. This role comes with a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and tuition reimbursement.
Job Summary:
As a Procurement Consultant, you will serve as the subject matter expert for sourcing strategies related to labor, services, materials, and equipment supporting the public utility power generation business. You will apply advanced negotiation techniques, manage supplier performance, and ensure contract compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve category management objectives.
- Sourcing ownership, commercial execution, cross-functional coordination
- Lead RFQs/RFPs and evaluate supplier proposals
- Develop sourcing strategies for assigned categories or projects
- Perform total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis to support decision-making
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and standard commercial terms
- Support contract development and collaborate with legal/finance on terms
- Manage supplier relationships and drive performance improvements
- Identify and manage supply risks (lead time constraints, capacity, logistics issues)
- Coordinate across engineering, project teams, and operations for alignment
- Provide market intelligence and supplier insights to stakeholders
- Support execution of commercial strategies (e.g., inventory positioning, supplier allocation)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field, or 6 years of relevant industry experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in utility, manufacturing, or construction.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading sourcing initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders, suppliers, and business partners.
