Position OverviewThe Supply Chain Business Analyst - Contract Administration supports Procurement by performing contract administration, analytical, reporting, and process support activities across Transmission, Distribution, Corporate, and Generation procurement areas. Working under some supervision, this role assists with market research, benchmarking, financial reporting, contract rate and price variance analysis, bid rate sheet creation, spend intelligence tracking, Service Now case coordination, and transactional procurement activities.
The position serves as a knowledgeable point of contact for contract administration questions and supports systems, processes, documentation, and stakeholder communication in accordance with established procedures and controls.
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and analysis of primary and secondary market research studies to support strategic planning, recommendations, benchmarking, scorecard development, financial reporting, rate case support, customer satisfaction surveys, and contract management reporting related to rates, price variances, and spend.
- Compare basic, complex, and differing specifications and solutions; assist with developing performance criteria and identifying the data elements needed to support effective analysis and decision-making.
- Create, maintain, and organize contract‑related records, documentation, manuals, bid rate sheets, status reports, and planning materials, including business cases and business, communication, continuity, and change management plans.
- Monitor spend intelligence tools and apply intermediate analytical techniques to internal and external data sources, standard reports, and procurement information to support analysts with negotiation preparation, cost savings tracking, and reporting needs.
- Initiate, track, and follow up on Service Now cases for new code requests and other procurement support needs, ensuring timely coordination with internal stakeholders and accurate completion of required activities.
- Support current systems and procurement processes by responding to user questions, diagnosing and researching problems, troubleshooting issues, tracking resolutions, and assisting IT with business unit testing for defect resolution and system enhancements.
- Manually enter contract rates when exceptions are received and perform transactional procurement work across assigned business areas while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and adherence to established procedures and controls.
- Serve as a primary point of contact and source of knowledge for contract administration issues; collaborate with internal stakeholders, encourage problem‑solving, and provide information for presentations and progress reporting on specific initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Finance, Accounting, or a related field such as Operations Management, Materials Management, or Information Technology, plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Fleet.
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an Associate’s Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the same areas.
- In lieu of an Associate’s Degree, a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 7 years of experience in the same areas.
