Job Title:

Grants and Contracts Management Senior Analyst 3

Responsibilities
  • Independently manage complex pre‑award grant support activities for principal investigators (PIs) within the College of Public Health (CPH).
  • Lead proposal development for assigned submissions, coordinating with the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant submissions.
  • Develop and review complex, multi‑year grant budgets and establish subrecipient budgets and documentation.
  • Provide guidance on submission timelines, requirements, and best practices, and evaluate proposal components for compliance with sponsor guidelines and university policies.
  • Identify and resolve pre‑award issues, including effort commitments and allowable costs, and advise investigators on proposal strategies.
  • Assist with preparation and submission of required compliance documentation for human and animal subjects research, financial conflict of interest, conflict of commitment, and related regulatory areas.
  • Support training and knowledge sharing, and contribute to continuous improvement of pre‑award processes and tools.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in grant or contract management.
  • Preferred 4–8 years of experience, including knowledge of the pre‑award grant management process.
  • Advanced word processing skills.
  • Intermediate spreadsheet skills, with ability to create budgetary documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience writing administrative components of grants and using research administration proposal tools such as Grants.gov.
Additional Information
  • Pay Range: $70,100 – $91,600 (salary determined by education, experience, internal equity, and budget).
  • Location:

    Cunz Hall (0293). This position is intended to operate in a hybrid work environment; specific on‑site and remote expectations will be established with the hiring manager.
  • Position type:
    Regular. Scheduled hours: 40. Shift: First Shift.
  • Employment date:
    Immediate opening.
