Provides procurement services to business partners in the Purchasing (Services) department. Reviews purchase requests, determines proper method for fulfilling the request, and completes the purchasing activity for basic and medium-complexity requests on behalf of business partners. Reassigns complex and/or higher-value purchase requests as appropriate. Provides issue resolution support by receiving, documenting, and resolving inquiries, issues, and requests from direct access, by phone, and by e-mail.
Refers complex issues to higher tier group member for assistance and/or resolution. Supports tracking and reporting of performance metrics, to deliver effective and efficient procurement operations.
1) Executing basic and medium-complexity procurement transactions by writing agreements (i.e., work authorizations and/or service agreements) for services with outside vendors working in conjunction with business partners to ensure satisfaction and operational efficiency.
2) Write modifications (i.e., amendments) to existing agreements via change orders requests.
3) Work with the Legal, Risk, and other departments as necessary to protect the interest of client.
4) Maintains good relationships with business partners and vendors through high-level customer service while supporting the strategies established by client.
5) Collaborates, as needed, with other procurement groups, departments, and/or business partners on sourcing events, projects, and other initiatives to address recurring issues, improve efficiency, and improve satisfaction.
Basic Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, supply chain, or other related field; OR 4 years of relevant procurement or service center experience.
Experience:
In addition to any experience required above, 2 years of relevant customer service and/or procurement experience required.
Additional Requirements:
1) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills desired.
2) Proficiency with procurement systems.
3) Strong customer-oriented mindset.
4) Ability to be persuasive and build credibility desired.
5) Good understanding of procurement processes, policies, and tools.
