Energy Supply Strategy & Analytics Lead

• Responsible for participating in a goal-driven, team-oriented, high-performance department

• Provide both technical and leadership support to internal business partners

• Develop short and long-term supply plans using complex computer-based modeling software

• Responsible for weekend/holiday coverage to provide recommendations for supply and demand imbalances

• Provides accurate daily system forecasts

• Performs in-depth analyses to evaluate NiSource’s portfolio of supply and capacity options

• Oversees performance and adequacy for the functionality of software systems, IT applications and data warehouses

Requirements

• BS/BA in a quantitative discipline or equivalent experience
• Must be self-directed, have strong leadership skills
• Proven presentation skills, verbal and written communication skills
• Possess an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 (particularly Microsoft Excel - pivot tables, macro creation, and statistical analysis)
• Master of Business Administration, Business Analytics, Accountancy, or equivalent business/data analytics graduate degree preferred
• Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in the utility industry specific to electric/natural gas markets, demand response, trading, and state/federal regulations
• Experience with process improvement, Six Sigma, and/or project management.
