What you’ll do
  • Create realistic scenarios drawn from investment risk, forensic accounting, and financial compliance contexts that test AI safety systems across categories including sexual content, violence, self-harm, and hate speech
  • Assess outputs generated by AI models to determine accuracy, appropriateness, and alignment with safety standards
  • Identify subtle edge cases where content classification becomes ambiguous or requires specialized financial industry knowledge to interpret correctly
  • Apply detailed annotation guidelines and attach structured metadata to each scenario or evaluation you complete
  • Write clear documentation explaining your classification decisions, particularly for borderline cases where reasoning must be transparent and defensible
  • Conduct quality reviews of your own work and potentially the work of other contributors to maintain consistency and realism across the project
  • Bring your professional background in financial investigations, compliance oversight, or portfolio risk management to inform how safety classifiers should respond to domain-specific content
  • Provide feedback that helps improve model performance when handling nuanced situations that require understanding of financial industry norms, regulations, and operational realities
Requirements
  • 10 to 15 years of professional experience in investment risk, forensic accounting, compliance, portfolio oversight, or financial investigations
  • Background working within asset management firms, hedge funds, private equity organizations, venture capital firms, or forensic accounting practices
  • Professional history that includes titles such as Senior Portfolio Risk Analyst, Hedge Fund Compliance Officer, Forensic Accounting Lead, Director of Investment Risk, or Senior Quant Risk Manager
  • Demonstrated experience making decisions in operational, compliance, safety, security, legal, technical, or policy contexts within the financial domain
  • Strong written communication abilities with the capacity to articulate complex reasoning in clear, structured prose
  • Analytical skills sufficient to evaluate ambiguous scenarios where correct classification is not immediately obvious
  • Current residence and work authorization in the United States
Skills & tools
  • Deep familiarity with investment risk frameworks, forensic investigation methodologies, and financial compliance requirements
  • Ability to recognize how financial industry terminology, practices, and scenarios might intersect with AI safety categories
  • Comfort working with annotation guidelines and applying consistent standards across multiple examples
